ABOUT US

Maisie’s Place, a not-for-profit corporation, was founded in 2020 amid the new and uncertain reality of COVID.  Since we had never experienced this type of national emergency before, many situations arose to challenge our traditional approach to jobs, socialization with friends and family, as well as education modalities. We also learned about the negative effect isolation could have on the critical need of the disabled, the elderly, and families to stay connected.

These unprecedented events were the catalyst for positive evolution in meeting traditional challenges through the lens of post COVID reality.

It was through this new “lens” the Maisie’s Place CEO and Board of Directors created supported living services that match the times we live in today. The goal of Maisie’s Place is to provide high quality, one-on-one support services to the developmentally disabled who have chosen to live at home.

Our team approaches each client with clear understanding of their role in our client’s home ...

  • Provide high quality, tailored supported living care with the commitment to an individual’s need for connection with others.

  • Encourage and empower those in our care to live meaningful lives.

  • At all times, perform all duties with respect and protection of personal dignity.

A LEGACY OF CARING

We took our name from a loving, determined, and involved woman who dedicated her life to the support and care for the disabled, the elderly and children.  Those of us who loved her and those whose lives she touched know we are richer for knowing her.

Maisie’s approach to helping people was simple … she treated others as she would like to be treated.  She spent the time to know people and to hear their stories, their concerns, and their hopes. She celebrated people’s uniqueness, and was committed to a person’s right to be treated with respect and understanding … and her spirit lives on at Maisie’s Place, Family Support Solutions.
